Meditation and Mental Cultivation

Buddhist meditation is a systematic form of mental cultivation connected with ethical conduct, careful observation and the development of wisdom.

The meditation section of Digital Buddhism will gradually introduce foundational practices such as mindfulness of breathing, awareness of the body, observation of feelings and mental states, and the cultivation of loving-kindness and compassion.

Meditation will not be presented merely as a relaxation technique. Each practice will be explained within its appropriate Buddhist context, with clear guidance about its purpose, method, benefits, limitations and necessary precautions.
